Description & Requirements

Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who is willing to participate in interesting and demanding M&A projects in Financial Services Industry. To be successful in this role you should have:

  • 2-3 years of professional experience in one of the following areas: financial due diligence, financial advisory, private banking, asset management, financial analysis or audit (preferably for financial sector);
  • strong educational background in finance, economics, mathematics or accounting;
  • highly analytical mind-set, critical thinking;
  • comprehensive accounting skills including working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards;
  • interpreting data, generating insights, giving recommendations and providing solutions skills and comfort with presenting them to others;
  • interpersonal and communication skills – including the ability to articulate to client’s representatives and to the team;
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Your future role
As a team member you are responsible for taking part in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence to corporate and private equity clients. You will be involved in:

  • Assessment and analysis of detailed financial statement information consisting of balance sheet, income statement, cash flow, business plans and other operational documents and data,
  • Integration of data which may have an impact on the final valuation and negotiation processes i.e. identification of financial and operating trends including: normalized EBITDA, normalized working capital, normalized revenue, net debt, potential liabilities and risks,
  • Preparing deal-oriented presentations and analysis that highlight specific key issues based on previously made assessments and analysis,
  • Gathering and translating results of conducted analysis into essential information that clients incorporate into their deal strategy and agreement,
  • Building and maintaining client relationship including serving as a point of contact in day to day operations, preparation of request lists as well as participating in meetings, Q&A processes and teleconferences,
  • Based on your experience and willingness to learn, you can be also involved in other financial advisory engagements regarding modelling and valuation, issuing fairness opinions etc.

Financial Sector Industry (FSI) Team as part of Deloitte’s Financial Advisory practice partners financial institutions as well as corporate clients on realization of M&A strategies, NPL transactions and transaction and valuation services. The Team is dedicated to both global and domestic financial institutions such as banks, insurance companies, insurance brokers, investment funds, and FinTechs and provides strategic corporate advisory services for corporate finance transactions, assists in assessing investment opportunities and providing professional advisory services to support them in making effective and timely business and investment decisions.
