🟢 Lead enterprise Data & AI transformation with Deloitte

At Deloitte, we help leading organizations modernize the way they use data, analytics, and AI. As a Senior Data Architect - Databricks, you will design and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms with Databricks at the core, helping clients build the foundations for advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI-driven decision-making.

This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who wants to go beyond technical design. You will shape architecture, advise stakeholders, guide engineering teams, and take ownership of complex data platform solutions from early discovery through production delivery.

You will work with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI specialists, cloud teams, and senior client stakeholders across international projects. The role combines hands-on architecture, consulting, technical leadership, and delivery ownership within Deloitte's growing Data & AI practice.




💼 What you bring:
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or modern Data Platform roles.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering end-to-end data platforms or Lakehouse solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
  • Strong understanding of Lakehouse, Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and modern Data Platform architectures.
  • Experience designing scalable ingestion, transformation, storage, serving, and integration patterns.
  • Good knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, data governance, security, and data modelling.
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, testing, and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience leading, mentoring, or guiding Data Engineering teams.
  • Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions.
  • Consulting mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and advise clients with confidence.
  • Excellent English language skills and native Bulgarian are a must

Your future role
  • Lead end-to-end Data & AI platform engagements, from discovery and solution design to implementation and production delivery.
  • Design modern enterprise data platforms using Databricks, Lakehouse Architecture, Delta Lake, and cloud technologies.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable architecture solutions.
  • Define target architectures, integration patterns, governance frameworks, and delivery standards.
  • Lead architecture workshops, technical discussions, solution reviews, and client presentations.
  • Provide architectural guidance to Data Engineers and delivery teams throughout implementation.
  • Stay hands-on through prototypes, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
  • Design solutions with scalability, reliability, security, governance, and cost efficiency in mind.
  • Lead Proofs of Concept and support pre-sales activities, solution scoping, and proposals.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and help identify new Data & AI opportunities.
  • Participate in client-facing engagements and occasional business travel when required.
