Description & Requirements
- More than 3/5 years of professional experience in banking, financial institutions, consulting or supervisory institutions in the area of CRR / CRD IV requirements and reporting, IFRS 9 requirements, Banking law, recovery & resolution, stress testing, other regulatory requirements for financial institutions
- Bachelor / Master degree in Finance, Economics, Banking or related
- Relevant professional qualifications (CFA, FRM, etc.);
- ESG professional qualifications would be a plus
- Proven track record in managing complex Regulatory projects, with evidence of successful management of senior stakeholders
- Strong relationship management skills demonstrated through the professional network with stakeholders at all levels within the banking sector on a local or national basis
- Detailed understanding of industry best practices in relation to ESG regulatory risk framework for financial institutions, operating models, and the ESG regulatory change agenda.
- A good understanding of the macroeconomic and financial markets environment
- Ability to identify sales opportunities and lead the business development process.
- The ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments.
- Willingness to learn and increase practical and theoretical knowledge
- Excellent communication and team management skills
- Working knowledge of written and spoken English
- Experience and very good command of Microsoft Office package
Your responsibilities are to support the development and growth of our practice and contribute to the risk advisory services operations.
As a Senior Consultant/Manager you will be working on:
- Coordinating and contributing to the delivering of ESG-related engagements for financial institutions, including for multi-disciplinary, cross-border complex projects. The projects cover topics such as:
- process and gap analysis for existing and upcoming ESG regulations, guidelines and best practices
- ESG integration into risk management (underwriting, RAF, ICAAP),
- green lending,
- climate risk quantification and stress testing
- ESG disclosure and reporting
- Driving business development activities
- contributing to and/or leading the drafting of proposals (including, technical proposal, planning, budgeting and staffing),
- understanding market dynamics and expectations and contributing to expanding the offering and practice development on ESG-related topics for financial institutions
- driving eminence efforts on local and regional markets – organizing and leading ESG-related events for financial markets, such as webinars, workshops, training and generally participating to ESG-events
- develop existing and new client relationships

We advise local and international banks, non-banking financial institutions, supra-national institutions, and supervisors on a wide range of regulatory requirements and model development and validation topics.
In the last years, our team has been working extensively on innovative ESG-related topics for financial institutions covering supervisory and regulatory practices, risk management areas, as well as climate risk quantification & stress testing. We have close collaboration and we deliver joint projects with the local Sustainability & Energy Risk advisory team and international Subject Matter Experts from other Deloitte member firms.
We have gained an in-depth understanding of ESG integration into risk management and policies, climate risk scenarios (especially NGFS scenarios), related data and macroeconomic impact. We are applying innovative, complex methodologies for assessing GHG emissions and climate change economic impact, we use specific tools to model climate change impact on credit risk and market risk parameters as part of forecasting and stress testing exercises.
Considering the strong development of our business in the last years, organic planned growth of our team, and upcoming challenges faced by the financial sector in the area of ESG regulatory requirements, we are currently looking to further strengthen our Risk Advisory team within the Central Europe South with talented professionals.
