Description & Requirements

Who we are looking for
We are looking for a person who will be responsible for overall financial management and reporting for the global legal team, as well as other core operational elements.

Main requirements:

• Exceptional numerical and analytical capabilities, including previous experience of financial accounts management and financial reporting
• Excellent ability to present financial information effectively through Excel
• Advanced command of English language
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including confidence with communicating to a senior audience
• Confident with presenting information including data, approaches, plans and ideas, in a clear and compelling way through PPT at high-quality level suitable for an Executive audience
• Self-starter with a proactive approach to delivery and execution- able to make decisions and drive activity at pace
• Conscientious and diligent with an excellent ability to manage competing priorities and to be flexible in response to change and disruption
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Consultative mindset, ability to navigate ambiguities and complex structures


Your future role
• Responsibility for overall financial management including:

- Managing the global legal budget: owning the budget tracker and budget reporting processes, tracking and managing invoices, liaising with individual budget owners on spend allocation
- Financial reporting: working closely with the global finance team and Member Firms on financial reporting for the legal practice (Member Firm financial performance), including oversight of data from Jupiter and CIT

• Supporting across a variety of operational elements regarding the management and running of the Global Legal Executive, including preparation for executive meetings and other events, and supporting data and information requests from across the MF network, with a particular focus on financial reporting aspects
• Supporting with the broader strategic agenda for global legal such as engaging with the MFs on local execution of our strategy and identifying where we can create consistency with operational elements that support implementation of key strategic initiatives
• Assisting with knowledge management for legal at the global level, helping to identify improvements to existing processes and supporting the collation and dissemination of knowledge across the global Member Firms
• Working closely with internal comms teams to help manage and keep up to date all legal content on the Deloitte Resources pages
• Supporting our growing efforts around pursuits management- helping to establish global ways of working and processes to increase our ability to coordinate client pursuits globally, working with the head of growth for legal
