Who we are looking for

We are currently looking for new colleagues to join our core banking implementation team for the position of a Senior DevOps Consultant.


Successful candidate will engage in full lifecycle of complex, international core banking implementation projects for systems such as Temenos Transact (T24). Candidate’s focus will be on technical aspect of configuration, customization and integration of Infrastructure for Core Banking System. Candidate’s day-to-day work will involve usage and development tools and system itself.


Requirements:

  • Technical mindset combined with being a problem-solver and a quick learner.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills (ability to work with International Clients and teams).
  • Comfortable with information technology, systems, and data.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Being able to understand design documents and implement design requirements.
  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes and banking sector business
  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree (can be in progress).
  •  2-4 years of commercial experience as a DevOps engineer
  • Can work independently, with a high level of ambiguity and undefined requirements.
  • Technologies:
    • SQL and database modelling (we use PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle DB, occasionally MySQL).
    • Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud services (knowledge of any other cloud providers more than welcomed).
    • Strong expertise with application containerization (Docker, Kubernetes variants – AKS, EKS).
    • Proficient in CI/CD pipelines management and version control systems (Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, GitLab, Jenkins as a samples).
    • Solid experience with Terraform or other IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools.
    • Has prior experience with a range of orchestration and configuration management tools - we use mainly Ansible and Helm.
    • Experienced in programming/scripting skills with at least one of the following languages: Bash, Python, Java.
    • Good understanding of security topics in terms of infrastructure design and management (both bare-metal and cloud ones).
    • Ability to utilize Linux as a platform for systems deployment and management.


Desirable, nice to have:

  • Knowledge of and experience in banking sector
  • Experience in delivery projects (preferably Banking, but not a must)
  • Consulting mindset with client centric approach
  • Technologies:
    • Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket).
    • Azure DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Repositories, Artifacts, Pipelines).
    • GitOps – ArgoCD, Tekton.
    • Base knowledge of RedHat OpenShift Platform.
    • Base knowledge of Queue Management Systems (we use mainly Active MQ Classic and Artemis plus IBM MQ).


Your future role

  • Deploying and configuring Core Banking Systems (mainly Temenos Transact) according to the agreed architecture and integration patterns.
  • Documenting design and deployment deliverables.
  • Analyzing infrastructure bugs and performance issues raised during testing phase.
  • Optimizing deployment and development processes and solutions according to the best practices and the most up to date knowledge.
  • Participating in all stages of implementation project delivery lifecycle.
  • Provide day-by-day support on the ongoing projects, including participation in production rollouts of new systems or functionalities.
  • Staying up to date and specialize in product we deliver by obtaining vendor certifications.
  • Sharing ideas for improvements either in processes or in the tools used to deliver Core System implementation projects.
  • Commitment to a continuous attention to detail and highest quality of project deliverables.
