Description & Requirements

Who we are looking for


The Project Engineer – Infor MES Implementation will oversee the technical aspects of deploying the Infor MES platform, ensuring successful execution from planning to go-live. This role involves coordinating between cross-functional teams, managing project deliverables, and providing hands-on support during implementation phases. The Project Engineer ensures that Infor MES is integrated seamlessly into manufacturing environments and operates at optimal efficiency.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in implementing or supporting MES systems,
  • Infor-MES (ex. Shopfloor-Online MES) product experience (min. 2 years)
  • Hands-on experience with manufacturing systems and equipment integration.
  • Strong understanding of Production Operations, Inventory Operations, Quality Operations, Maintenance Operations.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (Batch, Continuous, Discrete).

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in configuring and deploying MES software.
  • Familiarity with integration protocols like OPC UA, REST APIs, SQL, and MQTT.
  • Experience with ERP systems, industrial IoT devices (integration with PLC's), and shopfloor equipment like a gauges, lab. Devices and other systems.



Your future role

Project Activities and Coordination

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to develop detailed project plans and timelines for Infor MES implementations.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of project activities.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including project scope, design specifications, and system configurations.

 

Technical Implementation

  • Lead the installation, configuration, and testing of Infor MES software.
  • Ensure seamless integration with existing systems such as ERP, APS, SCADA, and shop floor equipment (gauges, lab. Devices, 3rd parties’ systems).
  • Perform system customization, including the configuration of workflows, data models, and reporting dashboards.

 

Testing & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct system testing, including functional, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during all phases of implementation.
  • Optimize system performance to ensure reliable and efficient operation post-deployment.

 

Client Support & Training

  • Provide hands-on training to end-users and support teams on the use and maintenance of Infor MES.
  • Act as a technical point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing timely updates on project progress.
  • Support change management initiatives to facilitate user adoption of the new MES platform.

Process Improvement & Documentation

  • Document technical processes, troubleshooting guides, and lessons learned for future reference.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization within manufacturing operations and recommend MES-driven solutions.
