Risk Advisory team is an integral part of the Audit practice, undertaking a variety of complex IT audits, information security consulting engagements, business control reviews and cybersecurity assessments across a wide range of organizations. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated person to join as Risk Advisory Manager.

You have...

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in financial services organization (preferably a bank), regulatory agency, or consulting firm
  • Solid understanding of existing and upstream regulations relating to credit risk models including the Capital Requirements Regulation, IFRS 9, Stress Testing, ICAAP and relevant EBA regulatory technical standards and EBA/ECB guidelines.
  • Hands-on experience in credit risk model development or validation (i.e., PD, LGD, ELBE, CCF) incl. data management, manipulation, and quality measures of large datasets is an advantage
  • Bachelor / Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Computer Science, or other related field with quantitative focus
  • Good knowledge of programming, e.g., SAS, SQL, VBA, knowledge of Phyton, R desirable
  • Experience leading smaller projects or components of large, complex strategy and/or operations transformation engagements
  • Experience identifying client business issues, owning responsibility for the quality of deliverables, managing stakeholder relationships, and developing persuasive recommendations
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Ability to work under time pressure
  • Strong planning and leadership skills, with the ability to fully engage staff at all levels
  • Availability for travelling (depending on COVID situation)

 And....

  • Advanced degree and/or certification desirable (e.g., FRM, MBA, CRCM, CPA, PMP, or CFA)
  • Sound foundations in a financial services sub-area like Retail Risk Management, Non-Retail Risk Management, Strategic Risk Management, Compliance Risk, Governance Risk Management, Climate Risk.
  • Experience with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk management (e.g., ESG data strategies, climate stress testing and assessment of client’s ESG profiles)

  • Respond to evolving regulatory environments
  • Lead and deliver small engagements, or components of large, complex engagements for financial services clients.
  • Supporting Partners in project execution through excellent project management, including work planning, workflow management, and coaching / developing more junior team members
  • Use a combination of direct management and hands-on delivery to craft solutions for clients, guide and oversee the quality of the team’s deliverables and recommendations and manage day-to-day stakeholder relationships
  • Implement programs, measures, and tools to efficiently deploy risk-based capital 
  • Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership and business development activities
  • Oversee the recruitment & development of junior staff
