Description & Requirements

Who we are looking for

Senior Tax and Accounting Consultant fulfils an integral transactional and reporting function in Deloitte’s Tax Department. This role touches all aspects of finance function including tax compliance, documentation of process improvements and other special projects as needed.

  • Prior tax compliance related experience and preferred indirect tax related exposure;
  • Payroll experience preferred;
  • Self-starter, organized, attention to detail, deadline oriented, hands-on;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment on several projects;
  • Previous experience with ERP systems such as MS Navision / SAP;
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting and cost control principles including National and International Accounting Standards;
  • MS Office experience required including extensive Excel knowledge;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Your future role
In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely support to clients across local and international requirements.  🌍📑
  • Maintain general ledger accounts by monitoring and reviewing journal entries, preparing monthly accruals and accounting entries, and performing monthly account reconciliations.
  • Prepare complex statutory annual financial statements, consolidations, and periodic financial reports.
  • Review the accuracy and completeness of general ledger accounts and oversee the preparation of tax returns, including VAT, income tax, WHT, and other applicable filings.
  • Convert annual financial statements in accordance with applicable local and international reporting standards, including Albanian GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Handle payroll-related matters and ensure compliance with applicable local and regional legislation.
  • Provide guidance and advice on national and international accounting, tax, compliance, and reporting requirements.
  • Maintain direct and professional communication with clients, understanding their needs and providing timely accounting and reporting support.
