Opis i wymagania

Who we are looking for
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data protection law;
  • Master’s degree with emphasis in privacy and data protection legislation or other closely related field. GDPR certification is a plus;
  • Expertise in European data protection law, with in-depth GDPR knowledge;
  • Expertise in data retention and data management relating to digital data (previous experience in related projects is an asset);
  • Good knowledge of IT, information security, business processes, and risk management;
  • Strong analytical and pragmatic-thinking skills with attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge legal, technical, and business languages;
  • Effective in a fast-paced, multicultural environment;
  • Fluent in English; French or German is an asset.
Your future role
The successful candidate will work hand in hand with the legal department of one of Deloitte member firms, whereby the role of this department is to ensure compliance, protect Deloitte’s reputation, and manage business risks. As Data Protection Legal Counsel, you will be implicated in the internal project concerning data retention and management relating to digital data and your activities will range from mapping of data, inventory of this data, through creation of the data retention rules and rules relating to access rights, document destruction, contractual requirements, technical and regulatory requirements, to coordination of these rules, policies and requirements being introduced in the company. You will be expected to advise on regulatory requirements and changes thereof, find innovative solutions and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Ensure legal and operational data protection aspects are assessed and implemented in daily operations and projects;
  • Support GDPR compliance, including maintaining processing registries, drafting impact assessments, and handling data subject requests;
  • Assist with contract drafting, review, and negotiation;
  • Provide data protection advice and raise awareness among business teams;
  • Draft/review internal policies to ensure regulatory adherence and monitor implementation;
  • Analyze and evaluate GDPR compliance in internal projects with other departments;
  • Map and inventory digital data within the firm.
