Who we are looking for

You will be joining a brand new “start-up” within Deloitte in an exciting opportunity.

You will work closely with the UK GIR/CESOP team to ensure the successful delivery of CESOP as a managed service to our client base. You will support the leadership in overseeing the day-to-day tax operations and working with clients to resolve their issues both within and outside of the technology solution.

CESOP is the EU's new Central Electronic System of Payment information. It has been created by the European Commission to support efforts to close the VAT gap in the EU. The VAT gap is the VAT revenue that Member States in the EU are missing as a result of errors and fraud. By collection data on cross-border payments, the EU expects to collect VAT that was previously unpaid.

Who we're looking for:

• Preferably graduates in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Legal, with experience working in a multinational company

• Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, with exposure to fiscal registration of taxpayers and / or XML reports and / or tax return preparation and submission in any jurisdiction, is preferred

• Fluent English speaker (level B2-C1)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; developing strong relationships with all levels of staff and partners with ability to influence where required

• Disciplined in the application of operating models and performance standards to ensure consistently high levels of customer service

• Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills

• Strong client management skills; the ability to manage clients through difficult issues or challenging situations

• Demonstrate a keen sense of responsibility, accountability, and ownership of work

• Well organized, able to manage multiple projects and handling successfully competing priorities/deadlines in a timely manner

• Technology-oriented and innovation promoter

• Experience working with XML file formats is beneficial

Your future role

As a Manager or Senior Manager, you will work on multiple client accounts and will be responsible for day-to- day communication with and between the Global Deloitte network, as well as client interaction, to:

• Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring high quality and timely delivery of service to meet client expectations

• Act as a point contact for clients and being responsible for maintaining an excellent professional relationship

• Support clients with tax related queries

• Review client deliverables

• Review and submit XML declarations using Deloitte proprietary technology

• Manage more junior team members

• Identify and escalate risks and issues, providing solutions where appropriate

• Assist in developing an in-depth knowledge database on subject matter

• Assist in technology development / enhancement and implementations

• Provide support to leadership in defining, implementing, and improving work procedures and processes

You will work as an integral part of a highly skilled international team, working with standardized and efficient processes.
