Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Finance & Operations Senior Manager to join our Tax & Legal Delivery Centre in Bucharest.

The successful candidate will become a key member of the local management team, reporting to the local leadership, having also a business-partnering role in relation to various local business leaders.

The Tax & Legal Delivery Center (TLDC) was set up in 2017 to provide administrative support to Deloitte’s European network. Over the years, it has quickly grown into an organization of 6 different service lines, counting 380+ employees and offering a wide range of administrative and technical support services to Deloitte European and Global Tax Operations. From ensuring compliance for internationally mobile workforces to optimizing tax strategies and securing government incentives or providing pan-EU VAT compliance services, TLDC also grows teams focusing on international trade advisory and legal support in the attempt to deliver value and efficient solutions to Deloitte Member Firms and their clients worldwide. Our continuous focus on quality and efficiency underscores our commitment to delivering value and solutions that propel our businesses forward.

The Finance & Operations Senior Manager role requires an oversight of all financial and operational aspects of the business as well as supervise team members in finance and accounting and office support.

We are looking for a reliable, independent minded and suitably qualified professional with broad knowledge of all accounting, financial and business principles, a proven record of accomplishments in the finance and operations area as well as demonstrated professional and ethical standards.

Your future role
The job holder will be responsible for:

• Management of the financial affairs of the business including preparation, review, monitoring the execution and realization of business plan and strategic targets.
• Preparation of the annual financial plan, monthly performance reporting, variance analysis and forecast during the fiscal year.
• Retaining constant awareness of the company’s financial position and acting to prevent problems especially regarding cash flow and receivables management.
• Creating appropriate reporting to each of the different stakeholders.
• Signing off on finance related process improvements. Ensuring compliance with Deloitte Central Europe regional reporting requirements as well as adherence to all applicable financial / fiscal laws and other Deloitte policies and requirements.
• Dealing with professional advisors and managing the annual audit process.
• Overseeing company operations and also helping other executives to monitor and properly evaluate productivity of own businesses.
• Ensuring the proper operational controls (with a focus on real-estate management), administrative and reporting procedures to meet operational and financial targets.
• Driving initiatives aimed to improve efficiencies and increase cost competitiveness of the firm.
• Leading digital transformation projects linked with rapid changes in working environment and hybrid model of work.
• Organizing acquisition and procurement workflow.
• Communicating and build relationships with the relevant stakeholders in other Deloitte practices and the Deloitte CE Shared Service Centers in Poland and Czech Republic.


Requirements

• Proven experience as a Finance Senior Manager with operational exposure.
• Previous experience within professional services or a matrix organization environment (preferred but not required).
• In-depth knowledge of business acumen (including accounting and fiscal principles).
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
• Problem-solving mindset, an analytical approach to spot trends (especially considering the impact of technology on business operations).
• Excellent organizational, people, leadership and negotiation skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Education in Management Accounting or holder of an international qualification in Accounting or Finance (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) would be an advantage.
