Popis a požadavky

Who we are looking for

Required professional background and skills:

  • A university degree in Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance / Mathematics, Economics or a related field.
  • Exposure to one or more of: statistical models, non-life pricing, actuarial mathematics, IFRS 17, Solvency II, or other experience in non-life insurance. While this position primarily focuses on non-life insurance, experience in life insurance will be considered advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Creativity and analytical thinking to solve complex problems.
  • A team player with a flexible working style.
  • Willingness to travel during engagements across Europe (mainly Central Europe, but also the UK, Germany, France etc.).

We consider as an advantage:

  • Programming skills (R, Python, VBA or C++) as well as exposure to actuarial software (e.g. Addactis, Earnix, Quantee, ResQ, Prophet).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks and Palantir.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or R Shiny.

Your future role

Our growing actuarial team is looking for new team members to join our projects in Poland and abroad, who will:

  • Actively contribute to a wide range of actuarial consulting projects, mainly for non-life insurance companies (however, life insurance projects are also a possibility), as well as reinsurance and other financial institutions.
  • Work in a multinational and multicultural actuarial environment in Poland, closely cooperating with Romania, Czech Republic, Hungary, Germany, Austria, France as well as the UK and USA.
  • Review reserving methodologies as well as Solvency II capital requirements calculations for a wide variety of insurance and reinsurance companies.
  • Develop insurance pricing models as well as other tools and models (e.g. using R or Python).
  • Write reports and prepare presentations, dashboards, or interactive insights into data sets.
