Popis a požadavky

Who we are looking for
As part of our new regional DevOps & Infrastructure Team focused on supporting Tax applications, the Support Engineer will take responsibility for daily operational support, troubleshooting, monitoring, and ticket management across several Tax Technology applications and environments.

This is an experienced technical support role and not helpdesk. Requiring strong infrastructure knowledge, server operations experience, and the ability to work in enterprise IT environments. You will collaborate closely with Cloud Engineers, developers, and IT operations teams across multiple countries.

Who we are looking for
  • Degree in an IT-related field.
  • 3+ years of IT system support and/or operational experience.
  • Windows Server administration
  • Azure services
  • Enterprise IT environments
  • Application hosting (IIS, Tomcat)
  • Basic networking concepts
  • Firewall processes
  • IT ticketing systems
  • Certificate management (e.g., Venafi)
  • Experience with system integrations and troubleshooting across multiple services.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Experience working in agile or cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice to have:
  • Tax knowledge (advantage but not mandatory).
  • Experience with Jira or Agile tracking tools.
  • CI/CD awareness or DevOps exposure.
  • Software development or scripting/automation skills.
  • Advanced virtualization or networking understanding.
  • Linux setup experience (RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu).

Your future role
Operational Support
  • Perform operational tasks in server environments (Windows Server and virtualized environments).
  • Execute and monitor software updates, patches, and system maintenance.
  • Support application operations, including IIS, services, logs, and configuration.
  • Manage certificates and key stores (Venafi).
  • Support basic database-related tasks (MS SQL, Oracle, MySQL).
Infrastructure & Networking
  • Handle firewall requests and basic network troubleshooting.
  • Support routing, ports, connectivity, and IP-based issues.
  • Work with virtual environments (VMware, Azure VMs).
Ticketing & Incident Management
  • Work with IT ticketing systems for incidents, problems, and change management. (Service Now)
  • Monitor alerts and coordinate issue resolution with IT teams. (SolarWinds)
  • Troubleshoot production issues and escalate when needed.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with developers, Cloud Engineers, IT operations, networking, and security teams.
  • Participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to documentation.
  • Support country teams during onboarding into the centralized model.
