Who we are looking for


🟢 We are looking for ambitious individuals for the role of AWS Cloud Engineer to join the Cloud & Engineering team at Deloitte, working on innovative projects in the area of public clouds, focusing on deployments, migrations, and the creation of new solutions based on cloud computing.

🎯 What we expect from you:

  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its ecosystem.
  • Experience designing and implementing cloud-based infrastructures and solutions.
  • Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Skills in at least 1 scripting language language such as Bash, Python, or Go.
  • Familiarity with database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, ElasticSearch or MongoDB) and administration topics (installation, backup, HA, replication) along with SQL proficiency.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines  (e.g., AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipeline, Gitlab, GitLab CI, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience deploying applications in at least one technology like Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or .NET.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools for cloud services and deployments (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Knowledge of  logging management systems, such as CloudWatch or ElasticSearch.
  • Proficiency in English and German with an EU passport.

Your future role
  • Automating the deployment of cloud infrastructure and applications using Infrastructure as Code tools and services.
  • Designing and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Auditing, maintaining, and improving existing solutions to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Building solutions using container technologies and Platform as a Service (PaaS) platforms.
  • Ensuring the operational integrity of cloud ecosystems with a focus on security and resilience.
Nice to have:
    • System Administration and Monitoring: Familiarity with Linux and Windows Server administration, along with expertise in monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana) and logging systems (CloudWatch, ElasticSearch).
    • Advanced Deployment and Orchestration: Practical experience with containerizing applications and working with Kubernetes orchestrators (EKS, OpenShift, Rancher), Service Mesh solutions (AWS App Mesh, Istio, Linkerd, Consul), and configuring highly available, secure environments.
    • Cloud Security and Cryptography: Knowledge of cloud security tools such as KMS, Vault, Secret Manager, and Key Manager, combined with expertise in cryptography, PKI, and authentication/authorization systems like AWS SSO, Active Directory, Azure AD, Keycloak, and Okta, including protocols like SAML and OIDC.

    Selection process
    1 stage - HR phone interview (10 minutes).
    2 stage - Technical / Professional interview (1 hour).
    3 stage - 2nd Stage Technical interview (1 hour).
