What we expect from you:

Core experience & engineering leadership

  • 7+ years in software engineering with strong frontend focus; 2+ years in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead / Staff / Principal).
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale web platforms with a strong emphasis on maintainability, performance, and reliability.
  • Hands-on leadership: comfortable being in the code when needed (critical reviews, spikes, unblocking, guiding refactors).

Frontend stack & architecture

  • Strong expertise in React + TypeScript and modern frontend patterns.
  • Experience building scalable UI foundations: component architecture, reusable libraries, design systems, and/or design tokens.
  • Solid grasp of state/data patterns and trade-offs (e.g., client state vs server state, caching, error handling).
  • Practical knowledge of performance engineering (profiling, bundle optimization, rendering performance, Core Web Vitals).
  • Familiarity with common enterprise UI challenges (data-heavy views, tables/grids).

Cross-team collaboration (Design / FE / BE)

  • Strong opinions (and the ability to implement them) on how to improve collaboration between Design, Frontend, and Backend:
    • clear handoff processes
    • shared ways of working and Definition of Done
    • pragmatic contracts between UI and APIs
    • reducing rework loops and improving delivery predictability

AI-driven delivery excellence

  • Acts as an AI champion: uses AI to measurably improve frontend delivery (speed + quality), e.g.:
    • accelerating implementation and refactors
    • strengthening test coverage and quality gates
    • improving code review effectiveness
    • automating repetitive engineering tasks

People leadership & maturity

  • Strong people-leadership drive: mentoring, coaching, growing talent, building a high-performing team culture.
  • Comfortable running performance and feedback sessions and handling difficult conversations with empathy and clarity.
  • High level of professional maturity and accountability.

Consulting mindset

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills (including English C1+).
  • Confident in tough discussions and being challenged by senior stakeholders.
  • Able to structure complex problems, facilitate alignment discussions/workshops, and communicate clearly through concise documentation and simple visuals (e.g., slides) to visualize thinking and align stakeholders.

Logistics

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (Europe / USA), depending on project needs.

Nice to have

  • Basic knowledge of Angular (ability to operate in a mixed environment).
  • Experience with sports, media, streaming/live-event ecosystems.
  • Exposure to real-time UX patterns (live updates, event-driven UI, high-frequency data refresh).
  • Client-facing delivery or consulting experience (discovery, estimates, scoping, risk management, PoCs).

Your future role

As a Frontend Tech Lead (IOC) you will:

  • Lead a cross-functional team delivering a flagship IOC application, partnering closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA, and DevOps.
  • Own frontend technical direction: architecture, standards, performance strategy, testing strategy, and release readiness.
  • Drive delivery excellence: predictable execution, milestones, dependency alignment, risk management, continuous improvement.
  • Establish and enforce engineering practices: code quality, review culture, testing discipline, accessibility, observability for frontend.
  • Improve collaboration between Design / FE / BE to accelerate delivery and reduce rework.
  • Develop the team: mentoring, coaching, regular 1:1s, feedback loops, performance conversations.
  • Act as a technology-and-delivery bridge: support discovery, scoping, estimates, and clear documentation when needed.

Selection process
1️⃣ CV Review (HR Screening) 
2️⃣ Recorded Introduction (in English) - A short recorded introduction to help us better understand your communication style, motivation, and international readiness.
3️⃣ Initial Interview (approx. 60 minutes + Technical Challenge) - A live conversation with the hiring managers, combined with a technical task designed to reflect real scenarios from the project.
4️⃣ Case Preparation & Presentation - After successfully completing the technical challenge, you’ll be invited to prepare and present a case study. This stage allows us to assess your technical reasoning, architectural thinking, leadership maturity, and communication clarity
