We are seeking a skilled Back Office Murex Consultant to join our team 🚀


🎯 What we expect from you 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Economics, Finance, IT or a related field. 
  • Strong understanding of back-office operations in financial markets, including settlement, accounting, reconciliation, and trade lifecycle management. 
  • Detail-oriented, quick learner with the ability to take initiative and work independently in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Back Office Consultant, Developer, or Business Analyst working on the Murex platform, particularly focusing on post-trade operations. 
  • Previous experience delivering projects in financial services, particularly with Murex implementations related to back-office processes. 
  • Solid experience in gathering and writing functional specifications and requirements using project documentation tools like Confluence. 
  • Strong expertise in Murex MX.3, specifically with back-office modules such as settlement, confirmation, accounting, reconciliation, and reporting. 
  • Knowledge of capital markets products and processes, particularly in the back-office realm (e.g., securities settlement, post-trade processing, accounting).


Your future role

As a Back Office Murex Consultant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and continuous optimization of the Murex platform for back-office operations. 
You will work closely with business and IT teams to ensure that Murex integrates effectively into post-trade workflows, including settlement, accounting, reconciliation, and reporting processes.
Your expertise will support the optimization of back-office operations and ensure that Murex delivers reliable, efficient, and compliant solutions within the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and support end user testing for business workflows (Contract/ Deliverable / Event / Exchange) to capture trade lifecycle and validation processes
  • Good understanding of confirmation (paper, Swift formats), settlement, fixing, netting, SSI, OSP, Swift etc.
  • Good understanding of Collateral Management module (preferably also incl. MLC)
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining static data (e.g., counterparty, bonds, SIs etc.)
  • Collaborate with back-office stakeholders to understand and analyze their requirements. Translate these requirements into Murex configurations to improve operational processes such as settlement, accounting, and reconciliation
  • Oversee the implementation and delivery of Murex solutions within the back-office environment, ensuring the solution meets the needs of post-trade operations. Provide ongoing support and ensure smooth functioning
  • Act as a trusted advisor to both business and IT teams, providing guidance to define and implement high-quality back-office solutions that align with operational goals
  • Configure Murex modules related to back-office operations, such as settlement, accounting, confirmation, and reconciliation. Customize and configure Murex to align with specific business requirements
  • Provide regular updates on the status of deliverables, issues, and any blockers to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Assess and analyze the impact of changes on the production environment to ensure smooth and efficient transitions and minimize disruptions
  • Foster strong collaboration and communication across various project teams to ensure efficient delivery of solutions
