Who we are looking for
Our Forensic team focuses on identifying workplace fraud, bribery, and corruption. We specialize in processing data and evidence, enabling us to successfully conduct forensic investigations. Our data analyses play a crucial role in detecting suspicious transactions and identifying relevant evidence. We support clients in legal disputes, evaluate risks, and ensure compliance with legal regulations. Overall, we contribute to maintaining our clients financial integrity and ensuring a fair and ethical financial environment.

In the Deloitte Forensic team, there are currently 19 of us, and we are looking for a new colleague to join our data analytics and e-discovery team.

What would be great if you had and knew:
• Hands-on experience in one of the following areas: data analysis, data management, data research, data governance, data quality, master data management or e-discovery.
• University degree
• Proven knowledge of Excel, Python and SQL- able to write verification queries with aggregations, filters, subqueries, joins.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with good communication skills.
• Positive mind-set and a can-do attitude towards challenges in a global and dynamic organization.
• English - advanced level, both written and spoken.

Would be a plus:
• Knowledge of financial accounting, controlling and a solid understanding of financial reporting.
• Experience with one of the following: C#, R.
• Previous experience with working with supervised/unsupervised or deep-learning models.
• Czech / Slovak language

Your future role
As a Data Analyst you will be part of forensic technology team working primarily on a fraud detection and investigation:
• You will work with inhouse developed tools for fraud detection.
• You will be developing new tools and methodologies to assist with forensic investigations.
• Implementation of fraud detection processes in clients environments.
• Learning and working with industry standard e-discovery and digital forensic tools.
• Working in an ever-changing industry.
• You will work with AI tools.

Selection process
After applying for the position, our recruiter Andrea will reach out to you to discuss the next steps. You will then have a meeting with the team leads, Štěpán or Martin, along with a case study. In the final round, you’ll have a short meeting with Tomáš, the partner of the forensic department.
