Who we are looking for
Join our Global Investment and Innovation Incentives Advisory team, where we help Deloitte clients across industries evaluate the R&D nature of their most strategic and innovative projects.

Given the diversity of technologies we work with, we are looking for an R&D Technical Specialist/Senior Specialist with a strong technical mindset, broad understanding of software and engineering domains, and the ability to assess innovation across complex development environments.

We are looking for you, if you have:
  • University degree in a technical field (Engineering, IT or similar)
  • 1–2 years (Consultant) / 3–6 years (Senior Consultant) of experience in R&D projects or R&D qualification / technical assessment work
  • Solid understanding of R&D documentation and project methodologies
  • Fluency in English & Hungarian
  • Strong advantage: Experience or exposure to software development, application design, or enterprise architecture across industries (financial services, telecom, retail, networking, etc.)
Your future role
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team of technical specialists, tax advisors and consultants to assess and define R&D projects and related incentives
  • Support clients in evaluating R&D eligibility based on regulatory frameworks and guidelines
  • Prepare and review technical documentation supporting R&D claims
  • Communicate with clients and collect technical and project-related information
  • Lead or participate in client interviews and workshops to assess R&D activities and technological uncertainties
  • Analyse innovation content, technical challenges and advancements within client projects
  • Identify innovative solutions, specifications and development approaches in product and technology projects
  • Delegate tasks to and review the work of junior R&D Technical Specialists

About the team
The Global Investment and Innovation Incentives Advisory team supports Deloitte clients in a variety of sectors and industries to assess the R&D nature of projects or developments – many of which are strategic to our clients. Given the variety of technologies used and industries served, our R&D Technical Specialist/Senior Specialist would need to have a good all round understanding of a variety of technologies, diversity of development methodologies used, and ability to grasp the essence of, and assess, the R&D nature of development projects. For this role, it is particularly expected that the individual is familiar with, or even has experience in, a range of technologies in software development, application design and enterprise architecture across multiple industry sectors including financial services, retail, telecom, networking etc.
