🎯 What do we expect from you? 🎯
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a strong AWS focus
  • Deep expertise in AWS services (S3, Lambda, IAM, Glue) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform)
  • DataOps knowledge with CI/CD and orchestration tools
  • Hands-on experience building data pipelines and integrating data from diverse sources using SQL, Python, and Spark
  • Client-facing experience: you enjoy taking a lead role in projects and interfacing with clients to shape solutions
  • Flexibility to work with clients across various time zones (Eastern Time Zone availability is a plus)
  • Language skills: Fluent in English (German is a plus)
  • EU passport - you may have business trips within the EU

✨ Bonus Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Data Warehousing concepts and Snowpark
  • Knowledge of OneMesh concepts in platform engineering
  • Background working with global companies and experience in matrix management

Your future role
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert: Act as a trusted advisor on the project, working closely with the client to prioritize backlog items, define timelines, and establish milestones for implementation.
  • Scope & Task Management: Break down project scope into actionable tasks and distribute work effectively across the technical team.
  • Coordinate & Deliver: Lead and manage technical delivery to ensure projects are completed on time and at a high standard, serving as the primary point of contact for the client and handling any escalations.

  • Build Scalable Solutions: Design and implement AWS cloud-based solutions for ingesting structured and unstructured data, enabling AI processing and building write-back functionality to feed insights back to clients.
  • Develop Data Pipelines: Create and deploy batch and near real-time data integration solutions, including ETL processes, API calls, and automated data pipelines, pulling data from both internal databases and external sources.
  • Drive Digital Transformation: Support clients in their digital transformation journey, particularly within Procurement, by implementing specific use cases focused on digital shadow spend.
  • Implement Best Practices: Lead data engineering best practices, including testing strategies and DevOps processes, to maintain high standards in project delivery.
  • Resource Planning: Ensure effective resource allocation and planning for individual engineering tasks to optimize team productivity and project outcomes.
