Who we are looking for

For our fast‑growing Cloud & Engineering practice in Central Europe we are looking for Data Engineers to join our team. The candidate will be part of a larger team with various experience levels, responsible for delivering a new data platform. 🚀

The primary goal is to build a highly scalable and secure platform that will replace the currently used Data Warehouse and ETL/ELT pipelines. 🔐

The platform will integrate data from multiple sources, including high‑volume streaming data. 🔄

The implementation process will include business and functional analysis, platform architecture design, data model design, platform and ELT process implementation, as well as data migration and testing. ✨

Your future role
  • Must have experience with Data integration / Data migration practices. 
  • Support and extend the existing data ingestion and transformation pipelines.
  • Transfer data from data warehouse and SQL database to Databricks or Bigquery.
  • Design and implement Bronze / Silver / Gold data layers.
  • Resolve challenges related to replication and permission constraints.
  • Support ingestion of SAS data, currently used in Risk contexts (SAS acting as ETL).
  • Transform SAS databases / files and load them into Databricks or BigQuery.
  • Work with CDC (Change Data Capture) integration patterns.
  • Support and optimize Databricks or BigQuery data models and transformations.
  • Ensure data readiness for Power BI consumption.

Skills & requirements: 
  • Databricks or Google Cloud Eco-system - incl. Bigquery, Dataflow, Data Fusion etc. 
  • Knowledge of working with SAS, MYSQL, PowerBI.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools.
  • Ability to read code and understand the ETL processes.
  • German is preferred, but good communication in English is a must. 
  • Team player, able to lead and drive the topics in the team. 
  • EU work permit.
