Description & Requirements

Who we are looking for

We're building out a cloud architecture practice in Hungary, focused on clients who are moving core infrastructure to the cloud — for real, not on a roadmap slide. We design and stand up the landing zones, network foundations, and platform patterns that everything else in a bank's cloud estate gets built on top of.

As a Cloud Architect, you're the one who decides how the environment is put together: network topology, identity model, the guardrails that let application teams move fast without creating risk nobody signed off on. You'll sit with client business, engineering and security teams, understand what problems they want to solve, and turn that into an architecture that holds up in production — and in an audit.

Do you recognize yourself in this position?

What we're looking for:
  • 3–5+ years in technology consulting or a comparable client-facing architect role
  • Hands-on experience designing cloud infrastructure on at least one hyperscaler platform (e.g.: AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Comfortable with IaC tooling modern architecture patterns and software development methods (microservices, API/integration design, basic data architecture, CI/CD)
  • Genuinely curious about client problems — willing to sit down, listen, and understand the constraints before proposing a solution
  • Clear communicator, able to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and Hungarian
  • EU citizenship or valid work permit to work in Hungary is required
Nice to have:
  • Broader architecture exposure across integration, data, cybersecurity, or enterprise applications
  • Experience with banking, financial services, or other regulated industries
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF), cloud operating models, or migration strategy
  • AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or TOGAF certification
  • German - Upper-Intermediate or higher
Your future role
  • Design landing zones, network topology (hub-spoke, transit gateway), and identity/federation models across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
  • Define infrastructure-as-code patterns (Terraform, Bicep/ARM, CloudFormation, or Pulumi) that other teams build on
  • Design for HA/DR, resilience, and multi-region setups
  • Build security-by-design into the architecture — encryption, key management, Zero Trust principles, and compliance with frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC2, or GDPR
  • Work out application modernization approaches and sequencing (rehost/replatform/refactor, etc. and the trade-offs between them)
  • Translate architecture considerations and decisions into a language a CIO or CTO understands and can act on
  • Contribute to build-vs-buy and platform selection discussions
