Who we are looking for
We are looking for a Finance & Reporting Specialist to join our Tax & Legal Delivery Centre (TLDC) in Bucharest.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the local finance team, reporting to the TLDC Sr. Finance Manager and working closely with local leadership and various business stakeholders across Europe.
This is a hybrid, hands-on finance role with a strong focus on the monthly billing process, gradually expanding toward P&L ownership, planning, closing, and variance analysis for assigned service lines.

Qualifications for the Role
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or financial analysis, ideally within a GBS, SSC, or multinational environment.
- Strong Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, large data manipulation).
- Proven ability to work with large datasets and financial systems.
- Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles.
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and spoken).
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and accuracy.
- Organized, detail-focused, proactive, and a self-starter who takes ownership.
- Experience with Power BI or similar tools and timekeeping/billing systems (e.g., Kantata) is an advantage.
Your future role
Key Responsibilities
Billing & Financial Operations (core responsibilities)
- Own and manage the monthly billing process for multiple TLDC teams, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery of invoices to clients across 16 European countries.
- Extract, validate, and process large timesheet datasets in Excel to create billing annexes and reconcile data with internal systems.
- Communicate with client finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth month-end closure.
- Create and maintain engagement codes, ensuring accurate setup, monitoring NSR, WIP, and billed amounts.
- Code and validate AP invoices to the correct engagement codes, ensuring complete documentation and compliance with internal policies.
System Management & Projects
- Support the implementation of the new timekeeping system (Kantata) and act as a system champion and key user for timekeeping and invoicing tools.
- Train new joiners on timekeeping tools and ensure consistent adoption of best practices.
- Participate in finance-related projects focused on process optimization, reporting automation, and internal control improvements.
Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting (progressive responsibilities)
- Gradually take ownership of P&L planning, month-end closing, and variance analysis for assigned service lines, acting as a business partner to TLDC and regional finance stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver financial reports and presentations for leadership, providing insights to support business decisions.
- Work closely with the TLDC Sr. Finance Manager to deliver accurate and tailored financial information to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, accounting standards, and Deloitte internal policies.
Other responsibilities
- Manage monthly overtime and performance bonus reporting for payroll.
- Maintain effective relationships with CE Finance, TLDC management, and Deloitte member firm billing contacts.
- Actively seek process improvements and contribute to efficiency and accuracy enhancements across finance operations.
