Who we are looking for

The TLDC (Tax & Legal Delivery Centre) in Romania is one of Deloitte’s regional delivery centers, supporting transformation and efficiency across the global practice. The center drives process optimization through innovative solutions, operating model redesign, and the use of advanced technologies to improve speed, accuracy, and quality, aimed at creating the ultimate customer experience for Deloitte’s clients across all its locations.

As Deloitte’s Global Trade practice continues to expand, we are seeking motivated professionals to join our team. In this role, you will support clients with customs compliance activities, helping them manage the complexities of international trade and cross-border movements of goods.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in customer or client management
  • Strong time and resource management skills
  • Experience in customs or international trade (advantageous, but not required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (minimum C1 level)
  • Ability to follow established processes while maintaining a critical mindset and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to manage high workloads, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
  • Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Your future role

Key Responsibilities

As a Junior Analyst, you will focus on the following activities:

  • Allocate Unique Consignment References (UCR) for shipments and maintain the UCR portal
  • Ensure all required documentation is received within 48 hours of UCR issuance and accurately recorded
  • Maintain and update job files in line with work instructions
  • Accurately input data into customs reporting systems
  • Review and validate information required to process customs declarations
  • Prepare, process, and submit customs declarations to UK authorities (HMRC)
  • Liaise with clients to confirm information and follow up on missing documentation
  • Communicate with clients and HMRC to resolve declaration-related issues, where applicable
  • Prepare and deliver management reports in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Maintain electronic filing, archiving, and documentation records
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant customs legislation
  • Perform peer reviews and cross-check work completed by other team members
  • Collaborate effectively within diverse, inclusive teams
