Description & Requirements
Role Purpose
The Product Owner will drive the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of the assigned platform across its applicable processes. This role sits within HR and acts as the primary liaison between HR business stakeholders, internal IT developers, and the vendor team to ensure effective platform governance, adoption, and enhancement.
- Experience
o 5+ years of experience in HR technology, preferably as Product Owner / Project Manager of Talent platform.
o Hands-on experience with various Talent platforms strongly preferred (ATS, HRIS, HRSD, Performance management, Document management, Talent management, etc.).
o Experience working in large, global organizations with complex HR processes.
- Technical & Functional Skills
o Strong knowledge of employee lifecycle workflows.
o Familiarity with HRIS landscapes and integrations
o Ability to design workflows, dashboards, reports, and automations.
o Strong data literacy (KPIs, dashboards, analytics).
- Soft Skills
o Excellent stakeholder management and communication across HR, IT, and external vendors.
o Ability to translate HR needs into technical requirements.
o Strong prioritization and decision-making skills.
o Continuous improvement mindset with focus on user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership & Roadmap
o Own the product vision and roadmap for modules and processes.
o Translate HR business needs into functional requirements and system enhancements.
o Prioritize backlog items in alignment with HR strategy, user experience, and compliance needs.
- Stakeholder Management
o Collaborate with HR leaders, recruiters, hiring managers, and onboarding specialists to gather feedback and align requirements.
o Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor consultants.
o Partner with internal IT to manage integrations, security, and technical dependencies.
- Solution Design & Delivery
o Define and document user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
o Support IT developers in configuring, testing, and releasing new functionalities.
o Ensure seamless end-to-end candidate and employee experience across modules.
- Governance & Compliance
o Ensure system configurations comply with global and local data privacy, GDPR, and internal audit requirements.
o Define data standards, quality metrics, and reporting consistency.
- Continuous Improvement
o Recommend enhancements based on user feedback, market trends, and Avature product releases.
o Train HR users and act as a knowledge champion for the platform.
