Who we are looking for

GES Mobility Transition Manager

We are looking to hire a Transition Manager to join our Global Employer Services (GES) Mobility Transition Centre of Excellence in a client-facing role.

Our GES Mobility practice specializes in providing services and solutions to clients in respect of their mobile workforce, meeting their tax compliance, immigration and payroll challenges.

The successful candidate will work within our Transition Centre of Excellent as part of Deloitte’s Tax & Legal Delivery Centre in Bucharest. The successful candidate will play a critical role in mapping clients’ requirements, stakeholders, ways of working and strategic direction and translating these requirements into Deloitte’s optimized Operate model.

The candidate will act as oversight and advisory figure for the wider Transition Centre of Excellence, working closely with Project Managers and Operational teams while maintaining ultimate accountability for client onboarding success. The role focuses on strategic input, quality assurance, and business development rather than day-to-day operational management.

This role will provide the candidate with a fantastic opportunity to expand their knowledge of how different clients run their mobility programmes and the way in which professional service providers are meeting their needs through service delivery, technology solutions, system integrations and transformation projects.


Requirements

  •  Knowledge/ experience of how organizations run their HR/mobility or tax function (either due to an in-house position in one of these functions or as a professional services provider in tax, immigration or payroll services, working with client stakeholders from these functions).
  • Experience of leading client meetings/ workshops
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex client environments
  • Ability to operate strategically while maintaining accountability for delivery outcomes
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
  • Previous experience in a Big4 environment
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities


Your future role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Scope validation and opportunity identification, typically via RFP review, and planning workshops with clients
  • Client business and operational understanding, typically via client workshops/ regular meetings
  • Client relationship management throughout the onboarding phase
  • Bridging client needs, engagement team professionals and offshore delivery centre stakeholders
  • Transition project setup and oversight
  • Cost estimation and cost management during the onboarding phase
  • Empower Project Managers and junior staff to own delivery responsibilities
  • Provide oversight, challenge, and guidance to client contacts and Deloitte team members
  • Quality assurance and escalation point (including reviewing client memos and weekly status reports prepared by Project Managers)
  • Focus on quality, scalability, and long-term value creation within the Transition COE
  • Market intelligence/ monitoring competitors offering in the same space

·       Knowledge of Deloitte’s specific service offerings and technology solutions

·       Induction to the Transition COE’s Project Management tools and methodology
